THE WOMAN IN THE LEAD: Born in a quaint village of Kerala, studied computer engineering, started career as a finance trainer, then quit the job to sell jewellery, finally made her way to the scintillating world of women’s fashion clothing to fulfil her long-cherished dream, AMBILY’S life took many twists and turns before founding MOON’S WARDROBE. The idea of owning a business was never a childhood dream of her, but as she grew into a self-motivated woman with lots of enthusiasm and high level of optimism, the zeal to do something of own also grew along, and eventually got translated into the brand MOON’S WARDROBE.
THE TIMELINE: Started operations in 2014, from a 100 square feet room in the remotest corner of the town. It was the time of acid test, but our relentless efforts to stand out innovatively paid off, MOON’S WARDROBE quickly created a space of its own in the market. In the year 2017, we moved into a spacious, well laid out retail store nearby. At the same time, we also got enrolled with SILK MARK ORGANISATION OF INDIA , thus became the authorised users of SILKMARK purity tag.
At this juncture, we are so happy and feel blessed that despite all that chaos in the pandemic-stricken market, we have been able to maintain a rising business graph, thanks a million to our beloved customers, suppliers, weavers and craftsmen who supported, encouraged and promoted us all through our journey.
The Wardrobe
India’s clothing tradition is one of the oldest in the world. It is deeply rooted in the culture and also as diverse as the country. Being the most sought-after fabrics in the markets, Cotton and silk had undergone several characteristic transformations and aesthetical uplifts by the skilled artisans of each geographical region resulting in unique regional crafts and every of them had secured its own place in the clothing market.
‘Ambily’ means ‘moon’ in Malayalam language, and as the name rightly implies, MOON’S WARDROBE is fully loaded with the choicest pieces of clothing handpicked personally by her from the weavers and craftsmen across the country. The blend of ethnic fabrics and contemporary designs gives amazing results that stand out and this is one of the areas of our specialty.
